What commercial office glazing has to deliver
A workplace makes two separate demands of glass. The facade has to admit daylight while rejecting solar gain, which in an air-conditioned building in India is a cooling-load question rather than a heating one, and is answered with a low-emissivity coating on the cavity face of an insulated unit. Inside, partitions carry the acoustic load: meeting rooms and cabins need double glazed screens with panes of differing thickness, because two identical panes resonate together and let speech through. Every internal screen at full height is safety glazing and needs manifestation.

An insulated unit with a low-emissivity or solar-control coating on the cavity face. In an air-conditioned building the governing figure is solar factor, the proportion of solar energy that ends up inside, because the saving appears in cooling load rather than heating. A selective coating cuts that heat while keeping visible light transmission high, which a body tint cannot do.
Double glaze them, with panes of different thickness. A single glazed screen divides space visually but leaks speech, which is why meeting rooms and cabins are specified as double glazed while open-plan dividers are not. The frame and the seals have to match the glass, because sound takes the easiest path and a good unit in a leaky frame underperforms badly.
Yes. Any full-height glazed screen is a position a person can walk into, so toughened or laminated glass is required rather than optional, and the screen needs manifestation marks at eye level so it is visible. Manifestation can be printed into the glass as part of a design rather than applied as vinyl afterwards.
Yes, with switchable glass. A laminated panel with a PDLC layer switches from clear to opaque instantly, so a glazed meeting room stays open and daylit through the working day and turns private for a confidential conversation, without blinds to maintain in a sealed cavity.
